About
Two people, one file, no handoffs.
When you hire A&P you get both of us. The person who writes your proposal is the person you talk to.
Arianna Perez · Principal Owner and Grant Strategy Professional
The writer in the chair.
Arianna Perez is a nonprofit development and grant writing professional who helps mission driven organizations turn meaningful work into fundable opportunities. She currently works in nonprofit development, where she researches, writes, and prepares proposals and reports pursuing foundation and corporate funding, including current grant work for the Family YMCA of the Desert.
Her work covers the whole file: grant research and funder matching, statements of need, program descriptions, outcomes and evaluation, budgets and budget narratives, organizational capacity, sustainability, and submission preparation. She also supports donor stewardship, fundraising events, donor communications, and development strategy, which means she knows what happens after an award as well as what happens before one.
Her perspective on the page is strengthened by a background in communications and marketing. She has built integrated digital and print campaigns, managed social platforms, run targeted email programs, and worked directly with nonprofit leadership on public relations and community engagement. That combination matters, because a funded narrative does more than describe a program. It makes the need, the capacity, the impact, and the vision unmistakably clear.
Her approach is straightforward. Read the guidelines twice. Answer the question the funder actually asked. Back every claim with a number or a named source. Keep the organization's own voice on the page instead of replacing it with consultant language.
She does not simply write grants. She helps organizations articulate why their work matters, and why it deserves to be funded.
Bachelor of Arts in Communications, emphasis in Journalism, California State University, Fullerton. Fluent in English and Spanish. Advanced experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, social media management, WordPress, content creation, and digital advertising.
Patrick Albert · Strategy, Systems, and Operations
The operator on the other side of the desk.
Patrick Albert is an entrepreneur, technology builder, author, and business strategist with more than four decades of turning ideas into working businesses. He began building on the internet in 1999 and has adapted through every generation of change since, from computers and networks to websites, digital marketing, cloud infrastructure, and artificial intelligence.
He founded Palm Desert Geeks, which has served Coachella Valley businesses since 2005 with managed IT, networks, servers, cybersecurity, backups, and web development. Through Thinglet Marketing he runs the marketing side of that work: websites, social, video, streaming and broadcast television, radio, print, billboards, and paid advertising, coordinated as one strategy instead of a half dozen disconnected vendors. He is also the author of The Small Business Owner's AI Playbook, written for owners who want to use AI without becoming technology experts.
At A&P he handles grant strategy, systems, and operations, and currently assists with grant writing for the Family YMCA of the Desert. He brings owner operator discipline, Navy honed accountability, and practical fundraising insight to every proposal.
What that means in practice: budgets that reconcile, timelines that hold, portals and registrations sorted out well before the deadline, and a process that does not fall apart when your executive director is out for a week.
Together we combine deep nonprofit experience with real world business systems so your grants get written, submitted, and funded.
Grant writing sits between two things most firms treat separately. There is the writing, which is a craft, and there is the operation, which is a logistics problem: portals, registrations, attachments, signatures, board approvals, and a deadline that does not move. Arianna handles the first. Patrick makes sure the second never sinks a good proposal.
We are based at 77564 Country Club Dr. in Palm Desert and we work with organizations across the Coachella Valley and beyond. Everything starts with the intake form, which keeps the details in one place instead of scattered across a dozen emails.
